Important! This is not a guided tour, therefore there's no meeting point. You will need to head to the attraction at the provided address and enter with your tickets.

  • Free admission for one care partner who accompanies a visitor with a disability.
  • All Museum exhibitions are wheelchair accessible, with elevators connecting all public floors.
  • Braille-marked and sound-equipped public elevators are available near the Central Park West & 77th Street entrance, the Rose Center, and the Richard Gilder Center.
  • Service animals are permitted throughout the Museum.
  • Strollers are allowed inside the Museum; the 81st Street/Rose Center entrance is recommended for ease of access. Due to space limits, double strollers may not be allowed in special exhibitions, but stroller parking is provided as needed.
  • Sensory bags with noise-canceling headphones and fidget tools are available at information desks.
  • Confirmation will be received right after booking via e-mail.
  • Please provide a valid email address and phone number for receiving tour entry tickets via email and other messaging apps.
  • Despite having prepaid access, you may still encounter wait times at security checks, the wait times may be longer depending on the season.
  • Once your booking is finalized, changes to the tour date or time cannot be guaranteed.
  • Visitors can enter and exit through Central Park West (upstairs) at 79th Street or at the accessible entrances on 81st Street/Rose Center for Earth and Space or Columbus Avenue at 79th Street/Gilder Center.
  • Your ticket includes full access to all permanent galleries and the following exhibitions: Extinct and Endangered, Grounded by Our Roots, Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry, Opulent Oceans, The Changing Museum, What's in a Name?
  • American Museum of Natural History Operating Hours: Open Daily from 10:00am until 5:30pm. Closed on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28) and Christmas (Dec. 25).
  • Photography for personal use is permitted with handheld cameras using natural light or flash, unless otherwise specified. Selfie sticks, tripods, and additional lighting equipment are not allowed in the Museum.
  • Bags, backpacks over 11" x 17", and luggage are not permitted.
  • Cloakrooms are temporarily unavailable.
  • Strollers are allowed in the Museum, except in theaters. Use the 81st Street/Rose Center for Earth and Space entrance. Double strollers are usually not permitted in ticketed exhibitions, but stroller parking is available.
Cancellation and Refund
  • Customers can receive a full refund, if the cancellation is initiated 24 hours before the booked starting time of the activity.
  • The time of sending the email will be considered as the time of cancellation.
