- 15+ traditional and local Kyoto-style Japanese food tastings across 3 restaurants, enough for a full dinner meal, served from locally owned restaurants (Menu may vary each tour based on seasonal and fresh ingredients).
- Experience homestyle cooking, farm-to-table dishes, and even a modern take on traditional meals.
- Three drinks of your choice as we taste tapas style dinner. (Beer, sake, and other cocktails). Non-alcoholic beverages also available.
- Explore Kyoto, visiting hidden gems famous amongst locals but unknown to tourists. Enjoy the unique scenes of Nishiki Market, Pontocho, and Kiyamachi.

Meet the guide in front of Kyoto Plaza Shijo on the main street. The tour starts at 5pm on the dot. If you miss the 5pm meet-up, please join the group at the first sit-down restaurant which we send you about a week before the tour date.

- 1) Nishiki Market: Shopping District Nishiki Market is the traditional food market located in the downtown area in Kyoto. We will stop by 2-3 family owned shops to try sample-size food that represents the food culture and history in Kyoto. Approximate Time: 25 minutes
- 2) Kyoto: We will visit 2-3 restaurants to try Kyoto style food ranging from Obanzai (Kyoto style cuisine) to local izakaya dishes. Approximate Time: 2 hours
- 3) Pontocho District: We will walk through the Pontocho District which is a mini geisha district where we will learn the history of Kyoto and the geisha culture. Approximate Time: 15 minutes
