Departure and Return Information

Important! This is not a guided tour, therefore there's no meeting point. You will need to head to the attraction at the provided address and enter with your tickets.

To use your tickets, download and open the official Big Bus app, then tap “Add Booking” and enter your booking reference. On your travel day, open your ticket in the app and select “Activate”. Once activated, simply show the ticket to the driver when boarding at any stop along the route. The app can also be used for route details and real-time bus tracking. You can also redeem your voucher and activate your ticket with Big Bus staff at 7th Ave & W 48th St (outside M&M’s World), or directly with the driver at any stop along the route.

Accessibility

Elevators are available for strollers within the Empire State Building, but strollers must be folded on observation decks.
The Empire State Building is ADA compliant with accessible restrooms, ramps, lowered viewing walls, binoculars, and welcomes service dogs. Wheelchairs are allowed.
All Big Bus New York vehicles are wheelchair accessible, with lifts supporting up to 650 lbs. If you need additional assistance, please contact the operator at least 48 hours in advance. Upper-deck access may be limited for some guests, and accessibility at individual attractions can’t be guaranteed.

There are accessible restrooms located on the 86th Floor.
Elevators are available for strollers, but strollers must be folded on observation decks.
Items such as weapons, glass, alcohol, professional cameras, sports gear, large bags, and outside food are not allowed. Confiscated items may not be returned. Tripods are not allowed at the Observatory; no on-site storage available.
The Empire State Building has 24/7 security with screening similar to airport procedures. Your visit will be monitored.

Luggages are not permitted on board the Big Bus.
A full loop on the Downtown (Red) or Uptown (Blue) route takes about 90 minutes (times may vary by season/traffic). Buses run roughly once per hour on both routes.
To board, show your ticket (printed or on your phone) to staff at a stop or on the bus to receive a validity receipt for hop-on hop-off use.
Routes pass many NYC highlights, including Times Square, Broadway, Wall Street, 5th Avenue, Central Park, and skyline views of icons like the Chrysler Building and One World Observatory.
Big Bus Child policy: Ages 3–12 require a child ticket. Guests under 15 must ride with an accompanying adult/guardian (15+). Ages 0–2 ride free. Strollers must be folded and stored on the lower deck.
Tours typically operate daily, but service may be limited on Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, and can be affected by severe weather or special events.

Customers can receive a full refund, if the cancellation is initiated 24 hours before the booked starting time of the activity.
The time of sending the email will be considered as the time of cancellation.
If an unexpected closure occurs, even in force majeure situations, a refund can not always be guaranteed.
